Requirements:
Minimum age of 21 years old
Have a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A
One year of recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience - REQUIRED.
Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card - REQUIRED.
No DUIs; Failed drug screens or refusals in the past five years
Ability to haul 53’ trailers
Ability to read and understand a Map/GPS
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
Ability to work in all weather conditions
NO HAZMAT REQUIRED
- $5,000 Sign-On-Bonus
- The average driver earns $1,500 weekly.
Position Summary:
Operate heavy-duty trucks (Class A) with large trailers to transport various materials related to waste, recycling and from transfer stations to landfills.
Job Duties:
Include but not limited to:
- Drive a commercial vehicle safely from the transfer station to the landfill, placing special focus on safety, traffic rules and regulations.
- Safely navigate your trailer onto a tipper.
- Unhook your trailer from the truck before tipping the load.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
- Notify Operations Manager and Safety Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Other duties as assigned
